On July 24, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.

President Sadyr Japarov has cordially congratulated the President of our country on his birthday, expressing sincere wishes for well-being and prosperity to the brotherly people of Uzbekistan.

The topical issues of the bilateral agenda and regional cooperation were discussed.

The importance of the practical implementation of the agreements reached during the Uzbek-Kyrgyz top-level summit on March 11-12 this year in Tashkent was emphasized. A particular attention was paid to the speedy promotion of joint projects in the field of energy, transport, mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals and other industries.

The Presidents have noted an important role of the International Conference on strengthening the connectivity of Central and South Asia in ensuring security, stability and sustainable development in our region.

The schedule of forthcoming events was also considered, including the holding of the Consultative Meeting of the Leaders of the Central Asian countries on August 6 in Turkmenistan.
