On July 24, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The President of Kazakhstan has warmly congratulated our President on his birthday and sincerely wished well-being and prosperity to the brotherly people of Uzbekistan.

The Presidents noted the importance of further consolidation of the multifaceted cooperation and strengthening the strategic partnership relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, first of all, enriching them with new projects and programs.

The preparation schedule of forthcoming bilateral and multilateral top-level events, including the Consultative Meeting of the Presidents of Central Asia in early August in Turkmenistan, was also considered.

Productive results of the Tashkent International Conference on the Development of the Connectivity of Central and South Asia were highly appreciated. An exchange of views took place on the situation in Afghanistan.
