On the sidelines of the Tashkent Conference, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev.

The issues of further development of the Uzbek-Azerbaijani mutually beneficial cooperation, strengthening the traditionally close and friendly relations between the two countries were discussed.

Shahin Mustafayev conveyed to the President sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

During the conversation, a special attention was paid to the issues of building up practical cooperation, primarily in promoting projects in the field of trade, industry, agriculture, transport and logistics, as well as the implementation of cultural and humanitarian exchange programs.

An agreement was reached to hold the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and the Business Council, the organization of the first Interregional Forum in the framework of preparation for the forthcoming Summit at the top-level.
