The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tileuberdi, who is participating at the International Conference «Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities».

The topical issues of further strengthening the Uzbek-Kazakh relations of friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership were discussed.

The Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tileuberdi extended to the President of our country sincere greetings and best wishes from the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the First President of Kazakhstan, Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev.

A special priority was attached to the high-level preparation of forthcoming events, as well as the promotion of economic cooperation projects and programs of the mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.

The regional agenda was considered in the context of the situation in Afghanistan and the preparation of the upcoming Consultative Meeting of the Leaders of the Central Asian countries in Turkmenistan in early August.
