The textile industry is one of the drivers of the economy of the Andijan Region. Currently, there are 700 textile enterprises in the region.
Among them is a sewing enterprise in the city of Andijan set up by the «Dinar group» limited liability company.
An abandoned building was sold at «zero» cost for a $10 million project. In just seven months, a modern enterprise has been set up here.
The sewing and painting machines from Italy, Austria and Turkey were installed at the enterprise. Thousand jobs have been created. The production capacity is 3.5 million units of finished knitwear and 5 thousand tons of semi-finished products per year.
With Uzbekistan joining the GSP+ program of the European Union, the ample opportunities have opened up for this enterprise, as well. Today, the entire volume of its products is exported. On foreign orders, more than 50 types of semi-finished products and more than 100 types of ready-made knitwear are produced here. The enterprise intends to increase its annual export to $40 million.
The Diromm factory in Andijan is one of the successful examples of the effectiveness of economic policy for the rational use of vacant structures. Its building was built in the 80s of the last century. It has lied idle for a long time and turned into an abandoned building.
Thanks to the investments made by Bobur KhBK LLC for the amount of $33.5 million, the image of the building has completely changed. It was overhauled and equipped with modern equipment from France, Germany, Italy, Japan and Turkey. Currently, 1.5 thousand people work here. After reaching full capacity, 2.7 thousand permanent jobs will be created.
Currently, the company produces 200 types of denim products. All processes from dyeing fabrics to sewing products are based on modern technologies.
This factory also supplies all products for an export. The goal is to supply $25 million-worth of products to the foreign markets in a year.
The President studied the technological process at the new enterprises and saw the samples of products. The responsible executives were instructed to render support to the enterprises in expanding their operations.
