President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, accompanied by President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, visited the «Kayrakkum Carpets» enterprise.

The carpet factory was commissioned in 1957. In 2019, the enterprise underwent modernization, technological equipment from Germany, Italy, Japan, China and other countries was introduced here. Today it has the capability of producing 3 million square meters of production per year.

Kayrakkum carpets are known for their beauty and design that reflect the traditions of the East. The company has been awarded various international awards for the high quality of its products.

The President got acquainted with the products of the enterprise.

On the way to the next location, the motorcade of the Leaders of the two countries stopped at the Kayrakkum Reservoir. The Presidents examined the reservoir and had a short conversation.
