President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has visited the “Katta Hirmontepa” and “Yakkatut” neighbourhoods in Chilonzor district.
Neighbourhood citizens’ gatherings as a true institution of people’s self-government have a firm place in society. This is of important significance to carrying out noble tasks of ensuring dialogue with the people and human interests.
Mainly multi-storey apartment houses are located in the “Katta Hirmontepa” neighbourhood. The Head of State inspected the neighbourhood. He gave officials instructions to improve areas around multi-storey buildings, pre-school day care establishments and schools and to repair pathways.
Schools are places of education, and special attention should be paid to improvement work here, the President said.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited people in their homes in this neighbourhood and held a conversation with them.
There are two pre-school day care establishments, two schools and two colleges functioning in the “Yakkatut” neighbourhood.
The President acquainted himself with the life of this neighbourhood and held a dialogue with its people.
Here information about standard neighbourhood centre construction projects to be carried out in Tashkent city was presented to the Head of State.
Neighbourhoods should have law-based foundations and adequate conditions in order for them to effectively carry out tasks within their remit, the President said.
The proposed new standard neighbourhood centre construction project envisages separate rooms being provided for the neighbourhood’s chairman, secretary, advisers and preventive inspector. This will serve to further strengthen such qualities as harmony and thoughtfulness that are characteristic of Uzbek people.
In accordance with the President’s recommendation, such inspectors should live in the neighbourhoods where they work. This is significant for them to hold a close dialogue with every household in the neighbourhood and to closely observe streets and public places.
Instructions were given to provide service accommodation for preventive inspectors and preferential credits for the purchase of cars for them and to create all the necessary conditions for them to work effectively.
Teahouses, bakeries, beauty salons, shops, sports facilities and children’s playgrounds not only meet people’s vital needs but also serve to ensure a stable moral climate in the neighbourhood.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that neighbourhoods should be a bridge between people and the state.
