The head of our state also visited the Cooperation LAB, a center for inter-industry cooperation, in the Bektemir district.
Today, such enterprises as UzAuto Motors, SamAuto, JV MAN Auto Uzbekistan, General Motors Powertrain Uzbekistan produce modern vehicles and components for them. However, many parts are still imported. Measures are being taken to master the production of new spare parts based on an analysis of the market situation and the demand in industrial enterprises.
For this purpose, on the initiative of Uzavtosanoat joint-stock company, the Cooperation LAB was established.
The $ 2 million project in the Bektemir district provides job for 50 people. The main goal is to develop cross-sector cooperation around the automotive industry, reduce imports and promote localization under the principle “from idea to the counter”.
The exhibition pavilion of the center will display samples of components, raw materials and consumables imported by Uzavtosanoat and other companies for the country’s automotive market. Here one can also get acquainted with the volumes and potential directions of production at domestic enterprises, get samples for localization. The widespread use of local raw materials and production resources will contribute to the manufacturing of competitive goods and the reduction in the import of components.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the presentations on cooperation at the center. The importance of attracting qualified designers and scientists, mastering new equipment and delivering it on a custom basis was emphasized.
Cooperation LAB has significant opportunities for enhancing the cooperation in mechanical engineering and electrical engineering sectors. The center seeks to support entrepreneurs with engineering, technical solutions and those in search of new markets.
The President urged hokims of regions to form groups of entrepreneurs and develop, together with the center, new project proposals for industrial interaction.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted the necessity of establishing cooperation with commercial banks for financing the proposals devised in the center through a “project factory”.
