President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the Namangan train station after the construction and reconstruction works carried out еhere.

In order to improve the quality and efficiency of railway transport services provided to the population and foreign tourists at the station, reconstruction for 24 billion soums was carried out at the expense of the Uzbekiston Temir Yollari joint stock company and the National Bank for Foreign Economic Activities.

In accordance with modern requirements, the refurbished venue boasts cozy waiting rooms, a buffet, a medical center, a mother and child room, a help center, a library, a gift shop, a newsstand, and a temporary storage room. A three-story hotel with 30 beds is also there.

As a result of these works, the Namangan railway station has acquired a modern look, and is now able to serve 250 passengers simultaneously and 2.5 thousand passengers a day.

The station will become an important hub of the new ring line of high-speed electric trains expected to connect the cities of the Ferghana Valley as well as bolster transport links between them and other regions of the country.

Once acquainted with the new look of the station, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev completed his working trip to Namangan region.
