On August 30, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the construction and creative works carried out in the capital city.
The head of our state visited the Tashkent State Graduate School of National Dance and Choreography.
This educational institution incorporates a specialized boarding school, a choreography college, offers undergraduate and graduate programs. For many years, the institution used to operate in an outdated building.
The President’s initiatives put forward at a meeting with representatives of the creative intelligentsia on 3 August 2017 afforded a powerful impetus to the promotion of culture and arts. In particular, a building was allocated for the Choreography Graduate School and renovated in a modern way. As a result of works worth more than 15 billion soums, all conditions are created in new classes with a capacity to seat 400 students and a student house for 300 beds.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev insisted that the artistic environment and accumulated experience here be extended to other regions of the country; it is necessary to organize local institutions under the auspices of the Graduate School, and develop the mentor-disciple traditions.
The head of our state talked with the teachers and tutors of the school. The President stressed the need for continued practical support for national arts, the construction of new educational institutions and the stimulation of the work of educators. Representatives of the sphere met the news about the restoration of the legendary Bahor dance ensemble with great joy.
Uzbekistan’s leader instructed officials to organize a recreation area for the staff of the Graduate School and allocate a bus for the institution.
