President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Division of Internal Affairs No. 2 in the city of Angren.
The division received a new building recently. Operational duty and office rooms are equipped with modern technology. There are units for crime prevention, investigation, criminal search, passport issuing and psychological services.
In accordance with the presidential resolution of May 29 this year, a qualitatively new system of managing the forces and means of the internal affairs bodies in the field of crime prevention and crime control is being introduced in the Tashkent region. The experiment is expected to help optimize the structure of regional, district and city departments, while 86 percent of the personnel will be transferred to a lower level.
“When crime is curbed, our people live calmly and are content with the government. To do this, all law enforcement agencies must work even more closely, to be closer to the people. Only in this way will offenses be prevented and will there be no place for crime,” the President noted.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev urged to enhance the interaction of the interior, the prosecutor’s office, the National Guard, the courts and other institutions, boost the speed of rapid reaction units and ensure their maximum mobility.
