In Khanabad, known for its picturesque nature, construction of a sanatorium was once begun. But the works eventually failed to reach completion. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, visiting this place on 2 June 2017, ordered to improve the territory of the health resort and create the conditions conducive for recreation. 

Thus, a modern sanatorium with 180 beds was commissioned here last year. All the amenities for the locals to get rest here are created in the treatment buildings, standard rooms, semi-suites and suites, as well as 6 apartments. 

Located at an altitude of 850 meters above sea level, the sanatorium specializes in the treatment of diseases of the respiratory tract, nervous and cardiovascular systems. Services have been established using mineral baths, physiotherapy, electrophoresis, galvanization, acupuncture, dentistry, cosmetology, and halotherapy.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the conditions in the health resort. He suggested that guest houses be built here from lightweight structures. This will reduce the cost and raise the availability of services, provide more people with jobs.
