Today, during his trip to Navoi region, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave directives for the expansion and improvement of the territory of the Chashma complex in the Nurata district and for the construction of a modern hotel here.
Last year, construction and beautification works were completed in full and the complex became a fabulous place to spend time. The 50-bed Nurota hotel was commissioned. Ornamental shrubs and trees were planted, a fountain was instituted, gazebos and benches were installed. Сonstruction of a museum and a center for artisans is in progress.
The head of state visited this ancient shrine, got acquainted with creative works underway.
In the future, the Chilustun and Panjvakta mosques as well as the Abul Hasan Nuri mausoleum are expected to undergo restoration works.
Getting familiar with project proposals on this front, the President noted the need to deliver even greater amenities for pilgrims and foreign tourists, build another hotel for 80 beds amid the growing demand, expand tourist services and create additional sources of income for the population.
Plans were discussed for the efficient use of rainfed land in the region by drilling wells and introducing drip irrigation, for nurturing leguminous crops and enhancing animal husbandry, and for organizing a poultry-grain breeding cluster.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave instructions to devise a government resolution on the integrated development of Nurata district, covering all these measures.
In the course of an open conversation with local residents – aksakals, businesspeople, women and youngsters – these and other plans, ongoing transformations in Navoi region and the country as a whole were discussed.
The President stated that pressing issues that have accumulated in the Nurata district are being gradually resolved, and a large-scale territory development strategy would be worked out during the current visit.
“People have trust in us, and they look to tomorrow with hope. Every manager must feel this confidence with his heart, work and think in a new way, serve the people. The most vital issue is job creation. All our efforts are aimed at ensuring the employment of people, the development of our economy,” the head of state summed up.
