President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Vatanparvarlar park, created in the city of Karshi.
This complex was reconstructed in military-patriotic spirit in accordance with the instructions given by the Head of the state during a previous trip to the region.
Landscaping works on an area of almost 7 hectares were carried out, a museum and a dugout were built. The memory of our compatriots who fought in the World War II is immortalized. Historical military equipment is established.
There is a map of Uzbekistan in the center of the park. It depicts symbols, ancient monuments, the nature of each region.
All this will contribute to raising historical knowledge of youth, strengthening their feelings of pride in their ancestors and the national army.
An artificial lake, an amphitheater, a shooting range and climbing walls will serve to a meaningful leisure and strengthening health of visitors.
The President got acquainted with conditions created in the park, talked to members of “Jasorat” groups of education institutions.
– Such parks are a clear reflection of the history, spirituality and culture of our people. Now it is necessary to use them effectively, bring more children here, hold open lessons, – said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The need for informing youth about the contribution of Uzbekistan to the victory in the Second World War, about compatriots who selflessly defended peace and tranquility in the country, was noted.
