President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with modern greenhouse in Mubarek district.

Creation of such greenhouses in the district, most of which is occupied by the steppe, is especially important for ensuring an abundance of fruits and vegetables in conditions of water scarcity.

Entrepreneur Kobiljon Gulomov created an efficient greenhouse. In 2016, having received 2 hectares of land next to the joint-stock company Mubarek Thermal Power Plant, he erected a greenhouse and reservoirs for collecting rainwater. Vegetables in the greenhouse are drip irrigated.

It is also important that the greenhouse is heated with hot water coming from Mubarek TPP. The power plant, in turn, needs cold water. Hot water after circulation in the greenhouse cools down and is sent back to the heat supply company. Both parties benefit from this.

This technique has proven its effectiveness. The businessman built greenhouses on another 7 hectares. He intends to export the main part of tomatoes, cucumbers and other products and expects solid profit.

Currently, almost hundred people are working in greenhouses. In the future it is planned to expand activities and create new jobs.

In general, 60 entrepreneurs in the district were allocated 300 hectares of land for construction of such greenhouses.

The President examined the modern greenhouse, talked with the workers.

He noted that it is necessary to further expand the network of such greenhouses, which play an important role today in improving the welfare of the population, creating seasonal jobs.

Presentation of projects on organization of greenhouses in Kashkadarya region in 2019-2020, expanding the cultivation of melons on the rainfed lands of Chirakchi district, increasing the efficiency of using household plots and others were held.
