President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with Kanteks Invest textile company in Kanlikul district.

During the previous visits of the Head of the state to Karakalpakstan, a project was presented on organization of large textile enterprise in Kanlikul district with involvement of 10 million euros. Over the past period, 10 hectares land area was allocated for the company and construction activities started. The enterprise was built by Kanteks Invest LLC, which has great experience in production of light industry products. As a result, 23 million euros were invested in the project, modern textile factory was built on a vacant lot.

Now, installation of modern weaving equipment from Germany, Switzerland, Turkey and India is being carried out at the enterprise.

The enterprise with a project cost of 38.7 million USD is planned to be launched in the first quarter of next year. At the first stage, 11 thousand tons of high-quality yarn that meets international standards will be produced here per year. The next stage is fabric production, and the last stage is implementation of which is scheduled for 2021 – painting fabrics and sewing ready-made clothing.

The output of the company at full capacity will allow to export products for more than 25 million USD per year.

The Head of the state got acquainted with technological process at the enterprise, talked with its founders.

The company, which plans to provide jobs for about 650 local residents, is selecting staff, training courses are organized for employees, they are trained in other regions of the country.

The President noted that main purpose of organization of such enterprises is to create jobs, it is necessary to import new technologies into the country with the assistance of Uzbekistan’s embassies in foreign countries, launch more productions.
