Documents exchange ceremony took place following the high-level Uzbekistan – India negotiations.
Joint Statement of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Prime Minister of the Republic of India Narendra Modi was adopted.
During the visit, 20 documents were signed on development of cooperation in tourism, pharmaceuticals, science, technologies and innovations, justice, healthcare and medical science, agriculture, using outer space for peaceful purposes and other areas.
Agreements signed on establishing Uzbekistan – India Business Council, cooperation between Andijan region and Gujarat state, the cities of Samarkand and Agra, organization of a free pharmaceutical zone in Andijan city are of particular importance.
At the meeting with the mass media representatives, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Narendra Modi noted that the negotiations were held in the spirit of mutual understanding and respect, concrete results have been achieved on the discussed issues, the reached agreements will serve to bring cooperation between Uzbekistan and India to a new, historic stage.
