On December 11, 2017, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, at the initiative of the Turkish side.
At the beginning of the conversation the President of Turkey sincerely congratulated the Head of our state on the practical results achieved in implementing the new stage of structural and socio-economic reforms in the country over the past year.
In return, the President of Uzbekistan expressed deep gratitude for the high assessment of the policy implemented in the country, aimed at ensuring sustainable and qualitative development in all spheres of life of the state and society.
During the conversation, the heads of states emphasized the importance of practical implementation of agreements reached on the results of the high-level visit to the Republic of Turkey in October this year.
The need of continuing effective interaction in order to promote joint programs and projects of cooperation in trade-economic, technological, financial-investment, transport spheres, as well as in tourism and culture was emphasized.
The Presidents also exchanged views on the agenda of the extraordinary summit of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation in the city of Istanbul, as well as on other current issues of international and regional policy.
