Young People from Kashkadarya to Undertake Internships in Germany

21.10.2026

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Kashkadarya Advanced Vocational Skills College and the Career Town established on its premises.

The college, built at a cost of 42 billion soums, occupies an area of 5.2 hectares. The complex includes academic buildings, laboratories, workshops, a dormitory, a sports ground, a canteen and the Career Town. Comprising 14 buildings and facilities, the institution has created 80 jobs.

Currently, 417 young people are enrolled in 10 fields of study. International best practices from Germany, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, China and South Korea are being incorporated into the curriculum.

The college will also serve as a methodological and practical training centre for other vocational education institutions across the region. A total of 2,800 students from these institutions will undertake practical training at the college. Agreements have been signed with 32 major organizations to provide internships and dual education programmes, with plans to establish partnerships with a further 11 organizations.

By the end of the year, 500 young people are expected to receive German language training and be sent to Germany for paid internships. The President spoke with a group of young people preparing to undertake these placements.

“All our efforts are aimed at helping you acquire a profession. A skilled professional will always be able to make a living. With in-depth knowledge and practical skills, you can find your place in life wherever you go. Today, you have the opportunity to build that foundation. By making the most of it, you can secure a better future for yourselves, your children and your grandchildren. So do not waste a single minute,” the President said.

The discussion also highlighted the importance of introducing vocational training and foreign language education at school. The Career Town was established to identify schoolchildren’ interests and abilities at an early stage and help guide them towards suitable career paths.

Here, young people are introduced to fields such as information technology, green energy, robotics, drone operation and electric vehicle maintenance. They also gain practical skills in sewing, culinary arts, plumbing, animal husbandry and agronomy.

Ongoing investment projects across the region are increasing demand for qualified specialists. In this regard, the importance of making full use of the college’s facilities, aligning educational programmes with employers’ needs and providing targeted training for young people to work at newly established enterprises was emphasised.

The President was also briefed on modern approaches to education in Kashkadarya region and promising joint projects with Germany.
