President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Zheenbek Kulubaev, who is in Samarkand to attend a meeting of foreign ministers in the C5+1 format.

Zheenbek Kulubaev conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov to the Leader of Uzbekistan.

The sides discussed further strengthening Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations of friendship, good-neighborliness, and alliance.

Particular attention was paid to the implementation of agreements reached during the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan in July this year.

The sides also noted with satisfaction the continued growth in bilateral trade, expanding cooperation between leading enterprises and regions, and progress in the implementation of major regional projects in the energy and transport sectors.

They emphasized the importance of adopting a plan of cultural and humanitarian events and interregional exchanges for the coming year, and also exchanged views on regional cooperation in Central Asia.
