President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vo Thi Anh Xuan on the sidelines of the CICA Summit in Baku.
The two sides discussed practical measures to strengthen and expand mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Vietnam.
At the beginning of the meeting, the head of the Vietnamese delegation conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev from To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President of Vietnam.
Both sides welcomed the rapid development of relations between Uzbekistan and Vietnam. Bilateral trade continues to grow steadily, and regular contacts have been established at various levels.
The two sides also highlighted significant opportunities for joint projects in the petrochemical, electrical engineering and textile industries, as well as agriculture.
The meeting also covered current regional and international issues.
