President Shavkat Mirziyoyev toured the Eco Cotton knitwear manufacturing enterprise in Andijan region.

The project was implemented in accordance with the Presidential resolution of June 29, 2026, aimed at supporting the deep processing of cotton fiber. The enterprise uses locally sourced raw materials to manufacture environmentally friendly textile products that meet international standards and are supplied to domestic and foreign markets.

The entrepreneur invested $10 million in the project, creating 1,000 permanent jobs. Once the enterprise reaches full capacity, its annual contributions to the state budget are expected to reach 25 billion soums.

A dual education system has been introduced to enhance employees’ professional skills. Under this system, young people combine theoretical education with practical training directly at the enterprise.

Production is organized in accordance with modern standards. The enterprise is equipped with state-of-the-art automated conveyor equipment manufactured by a leading Chinese company. A digital management system controls all production processes.

Particular attention is paid to environmental protection. Waste generated during production is sent for recycling, helping to reduce its environmental impact.

The enterprise also employs advanced technologies, including AI-powered sewing machines. The intelligent system automatically adjusts the sewing process in real time according to the type of fabric, ensuring high precision and consistent seam quality. Humanoid robots are also being tested in production.

The enterprise has an annual production capacity of 9.4 million units across 30 types of high-quality knitwear, with a total production value of 135.3 billion soums. Competitive production costs and high product quality enable the enterprise to compete with leading manufacturers in Türkiye, Vietnam, China and India.

The enterprise’s annual export potential stands at $10.5 million. Its products are exported to Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Romania and Moldova.

During the visit, the Head of State spoke warmly with the employees of the enterprise.

The President was also briefed on ongoing efforts in the region to support young people, provide vocational and foreign language training, promote youth employment and support their entrepreneurial initiatives.
