President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has concluded his working visit to Bishkek.

The main event of the visit was the President’s participation in the anniversary meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State. The meeting reviewed the results of 25 years of the Organisation’s development and considered priority areas for further cooperation.

The President of Uzbekistan put forward a number of initiatives to deepen industrial cooperation, enhance transport connectivity, advance digital technologies and artificial intelligence, and strengthen food, water, and energy security. Following the meeting, the Bishkek Declaration and a package of important documents aimed at expanding cooperation in key areas were adopted.

The Leader of Uzbekistan also addressed the SCO Plus meeting dedicated to the role of the UN in shaping a just multipolar world order. He emphasized the need to preserve the United Nations’ central coordinating role and proposed further developing SCO Plus as a platform for interregional dialogue.

On the sidelines of the summit, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks with President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, and Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif. He also met with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres and U.S. President’s Special Envoy for South and Central Asia Sergio Gor.

As part of the program in Bishkek, the President and the First Lady of Uzbekistan attended the grand opening ceremony of the sixth World Nomad Games.

Upon completion of the visit, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the First Lady were seen off at Manas International Airport by Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers – Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev and other officials.

The President of Uzbekistan has returned to Tashkent.
