Following the talks, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov made statements to media representatives.

The President of Uzbekistan noted that the current state visit to Kyrgyzstan is historic and marks the beginning of a new chapter in multifaceted Uzbek-Kyrgyz cooperation.

He emphasized that extensive joint preparations had been undertaken for the summit. A meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, a business forum, and forums of rectors and analysts were held successfully. These days, Kyrgyzstan is hosting the Days of Culture of Uzbekistan.

Taking this opportunity, the President of our country sincerely congratulated fraternal Kyrgyzstan on its election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for 2027–2028, which is a recognition of the country's growing authority and the voice of all of Central Asia.

The results of today's negotiations, which took place in a traditionally open, constructive, and friendly atmosphere, were noted with great satisfaction.

The leaders thoroughly discussed the full range of current issues on the bilateral agenda and heard reports from the Deputy Prime Ministers outlining specific plans in the trade and economic sphere.

The most important outcome of the summit was the signing of the Treaty on Allied Relations.

It was emphasized that this document marks the elevation of the bilateral partnership to the highest level of interstate cooperation.

"Now our main task is to fill our cooperation with new substance, projects, and initiatives that will serve the progress and well-being of our countries and peoples," President Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted.

An agreement was reached to establish an Interstate Council chaired by the presidents of the two countries, which will become the principal mechanism for implementing allied relations and defining long-term priorities for cooperation.

The parties also confirmed their readiness to continue deepening political dialogue, provide mutual support, and closely coordinate their positions on regional and international platforms.

Particular attention was paid to shaping a new economic agenda. In recent years, bilateral trade has increased almost tenfold, exceeding 1.2 billion dollars at the end of last year. Given the continued strong momentum, the task has been set to increase this figure to 3 billion dollars.

The leaders also focused on creating new drivers of industrial cooperation, primarily in sectors where the economies of the two countries complement each other.

At the business forum held the previous day, new projects were agreed upon in the fields of energy, electrical engineering, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and the textile industry. In addition, specific plans were outlined for the joint development of mineral resources.

To support such projects, the potential of the Joint Development Fund will be effectively utilized.

Priority attention was paid to the development of transport connectivity and the transit potential of the two countries. The successful implementation of the strategic China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway project was noted.

An agreement was reached on the joint development of trade and logistics infrastructure along the railway, the active implementation of digital solutions in trade and transport procedures, and the creation of favorable conditions for road carriers.

Cooperation in the water and energy sector was considered separately.

The leaders confirmed their readiness to continue constructive cooperation in the rational use of transboundary water resources. The signing of the Agreement on the construction of the Kambarata HPP will be accelerated.

The need to make active use of the potential of the regions of the two countries was emphasized. By the end of the year, the first forum of regions in a new format will be held in Uzbekistan.

The two sides confirmed their readiness to continue active exchanges in the fields of culture, education, science, youth policy, and tourism.

The leaders also discussed in detail sustainable development and the strengthening of regional cooperation in Central Asia.

In conclusion, Shavkat Mirziyev expressed confidence that the agreements reached at the current summit will serve to further strengthen the relations of friendship, good-neighborliness, and alliance between the two fraternal peoples.
