President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan.
The Leader of Azerbaijan sincerely congratulated the President of Uzbekistan on his birthday, wishing him good health, happiness, and new successes in his responsible state activities, as well as peace, well-being, and prosperity to the multinational people of Uzbekistan.
The Presidents discussed the further strengthening of the Uzbek-Azerbaijani strategic partnership and alliance.
They noted with satisfaction the ongoing contacts at various levels and the fruitful outcomes of the meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission and the Business Council, which was held last week in Tashkent.
The two leaders emphasized the importance of thorough preparations for the upcoming high-level summit and of filling its economic agenda with concrete projects and programs.
