Industry–agriculture integration drives new results in Narpay

18.03.2026

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the operations of an enterprise in the Narpay district, part of the Marokand Sifat cluster, which operates on a zero-waste principle.

The cluster has established a full value chain – from cotton cultivation to deep processing and the production of finished goods. In particular, projects worth $25 million have been implemented, covering seed production, oil extraction, fiber and yarn processing, and the manufacture of finished garments. This integrated approach, combining agriculture and industry, enables the creation of high value-added products.

As a result of the work carried out, the enterprise has acquired the capacity to produce 5,500 tons of yarn and 1 million finished knitted garments per year. These figures provide an export potential of $10 million, creating a foundation for strengthening the cluster's position in domestic and foreign markets.

Another important aspect of the enterprise's activity is its contribution to providing employment for the population. Currently, 1,000 permanent jobs have been created, and an additional 3,000 people are employed during seasonal work.

The Marokand Sifat cluster's enterprise, specializing in the production of yarn from recycled textile waste, is considered one of the most advanced and effective initiatives.

A biolaboratory and sewing workshops operate within the project. Special attention is paid here to the processing of waste generated during the production process.

Specifically, remnants of used fabrics in the sewing workshops are not discarded. Using modern high-speed equipment, they are reprocessed back into yarn. The annual production capacity for fiber in this area is 5,000 tons. This is important from the perspective of efficient resource use and ensuring environmental sustainability.

The total cost of this project is $7 million, and it is located on a 3.3-hectare site. The enterprise provides permanent employment for 500 people. In addition, the presence of energy-saving technologies in production further enhances its economic efficiency.

Solar panels have been installed at the enterprise, enabling the effective use of renewable energy in the production process. This not only reduces energy costs but also supports the implementation of green economy principles.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the production process and held a conversation with the workers of the sewing workshop.

“I am pleased to meet you. The conditions created here and the jobs provided play an important role in ensuring employment. Every project being implemented is part of the large-scale transformations in our country. Demand for jobs is growing, and we will continue working actively to create new opportunities in every region,” the Head of State noted.
