President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was reported on the progress of work on organizing and conducting the population and agricultural censuses.
This event carries a key significance for the scientifically-based planning of the demographic processes, development of regions, labour resources and social infrastructure in the country. The census process is conducted in line with international standards with application of modern digital solutions.
The census is conducted during the period of January 15 - February 28 this year in two stages. At the first stage, which will be conducted in January 15 – 31, the citizens may participate in the censuses through a specialized information system. At the second stage in February 4 – 28, the “mahalla seven” employees will be conducting door-to-door visits and fill out forms using tablets.
The online-census is being conducted on census.stat.uz portal through OneID identification system. The monitoring of all data is carried out based on a geographic information system. To this end, geographical locations of over 7,6 million households and residential facilities have been formed throughout the republic, special monitoring dashboards have been developed, which allow to track the progress in real time.
All data provided by the citizens are protected in line with the law requirements, personal data is confidential and is being used only for statistical purposes.
In order to organize these events at high organizational level, 14 regional and 208 district and city headquarters have been established. About 60 thousand census takers have been trained. In particular, the process involves 54 thousand “mahalla seven” representatives, 2,6 thousand reserve employees and 4 thousand members of the territorial headquarters. Moreover, 480 trainers from ministries and agencies have undergone training, as well as 3200 volunteers of higher educational institutions.
Special attention was paid to informing the population. In particular, 110 explanatory video clips and 600 thousand TV stories have been prepared. 6,300 posts have been published on social media, and over 23,000 informational materials have been posted in crowded places and on public transport.
As noted, 2,48 million households, as well as 31 thousand farms and agricultural enterprises, have been surveyed through a special portal to date.
The Head of our state noted the need to conduct high-quality population and agricultural censuses, ensure the reliability of data, and make extensive use of the information obtained in the development and adoption of decisions.
