On December 11, upon arrival in Ashgabat, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The Head of our state sincerely congratulated the leader of Turkmenistan on the historic date – the 30th anniversary of permanent neutrality, and wished him success in holding tomorrow's international forum dedicated to this significant date.
During the conversation, special attention was paid to issues of further expansion of Uzbek-Turkmen relations of strategic partnership, friendship, and good neighborliness, primarily in the political, interparliamentary, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.
The leaders of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan also discussed topical issues on the regional and international agenda.
