On December 5, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the United Arab Emirates delegation headed by the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazrouei.

The meeting was also attended by the heads of Emirati companies, including Masdar Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, Etihad Water & Electricity Yousif Al Ali, TAQA Water Solutions Ahmad Al Shamsi.

In the beginning of the meeting, the minister passed to the Leader of our country sincere greetings of the President of the UAE Sheikh Mohamed Al Nahyan and Vice-President, Prime Minister and the Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum, as well as Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khalid Al Nahyan. 

Issues of further strengthening Uzbek-Emirati relations of friendship and strategic partnership were discussed. 

The dynamic development of cooperation in all areas was noted with satisfaction. The trade volumes, the number of joint enterprises and frequency of flights are growing continuously. The project portfolio reached $20 billion. 

Measures were reviewed on the preparation and promotion of projects in transport and logistics, food industry, mining and metallurgy, energy and other priority areas. 

In the past years 6 projects worth $1,5 billion have been implemented in the energy sector jointly with Masdar company. 

Today the next solar power station and the energy storage system have been commissioned in Bukhara region, and the construction of similar facilities has started in Kashkadarya region worth over $600 million.

The heads of Emirati companies informed the Head of our state on the plans for the construction of a wind power plant and storage facilities, development of hydroelectric power plants, as well as the progress on establishing wastewater treatment plants.
