President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon at the Kuksaroy Residence, who arrived in our country to participate in the seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia.
The leaders discussed current issues related on further expanding Uzbek-Tajik relations of friendship, good-neighborliness, strategic partnership and alliance.
Particular attention was paid to taking coordinated measures to increase mutual trade and promote cooperation projects in industry, energy, agricultural sector and other priority areas.
The importance of continuing active cultural and humanitarian exchange and productive interregional contacts was emphasized.
An exchange of views on strengthening regional cooperation in Central Asia also took place.
