On November 12, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan received chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States Binali Yıldırım, who’s arrived in our country to participate in the International Forum on Multimodal Transport.

In the beginning of the meeting, the distinguished guest passed to the Head of our state sincere greetings and best wishes from the President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Issues related to further expanding cooperation within the Organization were discussed, given the Council's growing role and active participation in coordinating and promoting multilateral initiatives.

Particular attention was paid to the practical implementation of strategic proposals put forward by Uzbekistan at this year's summits of the Organization of Turkic States in Budapest and Gabala.

The President of our country proposed to develop a roadmap for strengthening the institutional capacity of the Council of Elders, as well as promoting joint projects aimed at preserving the national traditions, spiritual heritage, and cultural unity of the Turkic peoples.
