On September 22 a telephone conversation was held between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. 

The Head of our state sincerely congratulated the President of Turkmenistan on his birthday, wishing him strong health and well-being, as well as peace and prosperity to the brotherly Turkmen people. 

Topical issues of further development and strengthening of Uzbek-Turkmen relations of friendship, good neighbourliness and strategic partnership were reviewed. 

The intensive political dialogue and fruitful inter-agency contacts have been noted with deep satisfaction. 

Special attention has been paid to the issues of increasing trade turnover, promoting cooperation projects in industry and energy. The construction of “Shavat-Dashoguz” trade zone is under completion. It’s planned to hold Forum of regions, exhibition, Days of culture and film of Turkmenistan in Uzbekistan. 

Topical aspects of regional agenda and the schedule of upcoming high-level events were also reviewed. 

In conclusion of the conversation the Head of our state sincerely congratulated the President and the people of Turkmenistan with the upcoming Independence Day of the country.
