President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.
The President of Kyrgyzstan warmly congratulated the Head of our state on his birthday, sincerely wishing him good health, family happiness, great success in his responsible work, as well as peace and prosperity for the people of Uzbekistan.
The leaders discussed in detail key issues of further strengthening Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations of friendship, good neighborliness, and comprehensive strategic partnership.
The volume of mutual trade is growing dynamically, and industrial cooperation projects are being implemented, including through the existing Joint fund. Practical work continues on major regional infrastructure projects, including the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway and the Kambarata hydroelectric power plant.
The presidents also exchanged views on the schedule and agenda of upcoming bilateral and multilateral events at the highest level.
