Today Youth day is widely celebrated in Uzbekistan. The main solemn events are being held at the International congress-center in Tashkent.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived here to congratulate and support youth on this momentous day.
Presentations of projects, discoveries and achievements of young people in various fields were organized at the entrance to the center. The exhibition “Young Innovators” presented developments in engineering, digital technologies, artificial intelligence and unmanned devices. The “Green Initiatives” platform demonstrated environmental projects, alternative energy and agricultural solutions. The “Creative Projects” section exhibited achievements in crafts, design, fine arts, video production and production activities. The “Youth Entrepreneurship and Startups” area showcased successful projects of young businessmen.
Among them is Tashkent-based Rustam Khamdamov's “Billz” program, which helps automate processes in small and medium-sized businesses. Investors from the UK, Singapore and Turkey have already invested $6.6 million in the project.
Sherzod Niyazimbetov, a young farmer from Karakalpakstan, grows organic tomatoes, dries them in the sun and exports them to Italy and France. His enterprise employs about 200 people.
The Youth Academy, established by presidential decree in 2019, which currently unites more than 7 thousand young scientists, was also widely presented. Among them is Sayfullo Kodirov from Tashkent, who has developed drones that allow mapping crop areas and spraying them from the air.
The success of the girls who won the “Digital Generation” contest attracted special attention. For instance, Lobar Abdullaeva from Khorezm created a program “AI Scan” for diagnosing oncological diseases using artificial intelligence. Kumara Sagidullayeva from Karakalpakstan designed a solar-powered mini-tractor, and Abdullo Jamoliddinov from Tashkent invented an automatic garden watering system.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev personally got acquainted with the presented developments and talked to their authors.
- Every success of our youth is our strength, our potential, our hope for the future. Today our children are mastering advanced directions and are ahead of time. If we support them, provide them with quality education and conditions for development, they will achieve even better results, - emphasized the Head of State.
Following the visit to the exhibition, the President instructed to assign specialized ministries to the young inventors and provide them with assistance in the development of projects.
As Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted, Uzbekistan has many talented and proactive young men and women. This is a direct result of the efforts made to develop the education system, especially in STEM areas.
Dozens of specialized schools in mathematics, physics, chemistry and information technologies have been established in recent years. As part of the “One Million Programmers” project, 325 thousand young people have already been trained.
Youth entrepreneurship is also actively developing: 261 enterprises organized by young people have already demonstrated an annual turnover of over 100 billion soums. And $145 million of venture capital has been attracted to finance start-ups.
The President of Uzbekistan outlined even broader prospects and opportunities for the young generation of Uzbekistan at the meeting with the youth.
