During the visit to Parkent district, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Kumushkon mahalla, where he got acquainted with the touristic potential and guest houses’ activities. 

In the past years tourism is becoming an important factor of regional development. The state is actively supporting initiatives in this field: tax incentives and financial benefits are provided, necessary infrastructure in being created in touristic villages. More citizens are opening guest houses using these opportunities. 

The growth of tourism inflow is particularly evident in Kumushkon – one of the most picturesque corners of the district. Today there are over 80 guest houses functioning, which are receiving over 172 thousand tourists every day.

One of such successful projects is a guest house of Olim Yusubov located by Parkentsoy creek. His comfortable house accommodates 48 places, rooms are designed in a national style. Annually over 2 thousand guests are provided services here.

The President, praising the improvement and entrepreneurship of local residents, emphasized the importance of spreading similar initiatives in other regions of the country attractive for tourists. He instructed the responsible agencies to provide support to entrepreneurs, both financial and organizational, including the development of related services.

It was emphasized that unlocking the internal resources of mahallas contributes to the creation of new jobs and growth of employment.

Tourists are attracted here not only by beautiful landscapes, but also by cultural sights - in particular, the Masjidali pilgrimage site.

In general, there are about a thousand guest houses in Tashkent region, providing jobs for more than 2.5 thousand people.
