President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received chairperson-in-office of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, minister of foreign affairs of Finland Elina Valtonen, who has arrived in our country with an official visit. 

In the beginning of the meeting the distinguished guest passed to the Head of our state sincere greetings and best wishes from the President of Finland Alexander Stubb.

Issues of strengthening of practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and OSCE, further expanding of Uzbek-Finnish collaboration were discussed.

Development of constructive cooperation with the Organization on modernizing the national election system, ensuring freedom of media, gender and youth issues, green agenda was pointed out with satisfaction. The importance of increasing attention to the issues of climate security and sustainable development was underlined. 

The agenda of Uzbek-Finnish relations was reviewed in detail, primarily in trade and economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres. 

An exchange of views on the regional issues also took place, and the schedule of upcoming events was reviewed.
