On the margins of the regular session of the Foreign Investors Council, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the UAE delegation headed by the Minister of energy and infrastructure Suhail Al Mazrouei. 

The meeting was also attended by the heads of Amea Power, Etihad Water & Electricity, TAQA Water Solutions, AD Ports and Masdar companies.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes to the Head of our state from the President of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed Al Nahyan, the Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum, Vice President Sheikh Mansour Al Nahyan and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khaled Al Nahyan.

Issues of the practical implementation of the agreements reached during the President of Uzbekistan’s visit to the UAE in January this year were reviewed.

The dynamic development of the Uzbek – Emirati strategic partnership was noted with deep satisfaction. Trade turnover and investments, the number of joint ventures and frequency of direct flights are growing.

The project portfolio with leading Emirati companies has exceeded $20 billion. During the fourth Tashkent international investment forum, several new agreements were signed with Emirati companies.

An agreement was reached to accelerate the advancement of major projects in energy, transport, logistics, agriculture, healthcare, education, urban planning, water supply and other areas.
