As part of the Tashkent International Investment Forum program, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda.

At the beginning of the meeting Kokhir Rasulzoda conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, to the Leader of our country.

Current issues related to the further deepening of Uzbek-Tajik relations of friendship, good neighborliness, strategic partnership and alliance in the context of implementing high-level agreements were reviewed.

The highest level of multifaceted cooperation was noted with satisfaction. Trade and freight volumes are increasing, cooperation projects are being implemented in industry, energy, electrical engineering, textiles, agriculture and other priority sectors.

Fruitful interregional contacts and active cultural and humanitarian exchanges are also ongoing.

The importance of forming a new economic partnership agenda, development of effective measures to increase trade turnover, active promotion of cooperation and cross-border projects was emphasized.
