President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov, who is participating in the events of the Tashkent International Investment Forum.

At the beginning of the meeting, Olzhas Bektenov conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to the Head of our state.

Current issues on further development and strengthening of Uzbek-Kazakh relations of strategic partnership and alliance were discussed in the context of agreements reached during high-level meetings.

The steady growth in trade turnover was noted with satisfaction. Projects are being successfully implemented in the automotive, electrical engineering, textile, metallurgical, pharmaceutical industries, construction and agriculture.

The importance of taking coordinated measures by the governments of the two countries was emphasized to increase trade turnover and develop a long-term program of industrial cooperation in priority sectors, including at the regional level.
