Issues on the development of multifaceted partnerships with this authoritative UN institution in the field of sustainable urban development, infrastructure modernization, and improving the quality of life for the population were reviewed.
The high UN representative positively assessed the reforms being carried out in our country in the field of urbanization, aimed at sustainable development of "smart" and "green" cities, as well as the creation of a comfortable living environment for the population.
The importance of increasing cooperation on implementing modern digital solutions in city management, developing "green" building standards, and launching a special program for climate change adaptation in urban environments was emphasized.
The issues of holding World Cleanliness Day in Uzbekistan and opening an office of the organization in Tashkent were discussed. An agreement was reached on adopting a "road map" for practical cooperation in these areas.
