On the occasion of the traditional Uzbek holiday of Navruz, on behalf of the Government and people of China, I would like to convey our heartfelt congratulations to you, the Government and people of Uzbekistan.

Navruz, dating back thousands of years, symbolizes the arrival of spring and the rebirth of nature, as well as reflects the aspiration of the Uzbek people to a happy life, national unity and prosperity of the state.

During our warm and friendly meeting at the SCO Summit in Astana last July, we reached important agreements on the continued development of China-Uzbekistan relations and cooperation in various spheres, defining new directions of bilateral relations.

I am glad to note that our agreements are being effectively implemented, and the mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries is consistently strengthening and bringing impressive results.

I attach great importance to the development of China-Uzbekistan relations and highly appreciate our deep friendship.

I stand ready to make joint efforts with you to promote cooperation in all fields, giving rich content to the construction of a China-Uzbekistan community of common destiny.

Taking this opportunity, I wish you, Your Excellency, good health, family happiness, success in your responsible state activity, and peace, further development and prosperity to the friendly Uzbek people.
