On March 20 President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the creative and improvement work carried out in the city of Tashkent.
Due to the favorable conditions created in the country for investors, the share of the private sector in the economy continues to grow. Direct investments are being attracted, prospective projects in industry, construction, trade and services are being implemented.
One of such projects is the “High Town City” complex built in the Yunusabad district of the capital. This multifunctional facility includes a shopping and entertainment center, business center, hotel and modern residential complexes. The project was financed with $510 million of foreign investments.
The Head of State inspected the conditions created in the center. The four-storey building has stores, including boutiques of famous brands, restaurants and cafes, entertainment zones, sports grounds, cinemas. A parking lot is arranged in the underground part of the complex.
The complex is able to serve up to 5 thousand people a day, and its infrastructure is designed in such a way that people can not only shop, but also comfortably relax and do sports.
As a result of the project implementation, 1.5 thousand jobs were created.
The President noted the economic significance of the facility and its convenience for the population, emphasizing that support for investors and entrepreneurs will remain one of the strategic directions of the state policy. He also gave instructions to promote national brands and expand their presence in foreign markets.
A cozy bookstore was opened in the shopping center. Shavkat Mirziyoyev appreciated this initiative and suggested organizing compact bookstores in subways and waiting areas as well.
During his visit to the play area, the President warmly talked to the children. He emphasized that all today's efforts are aimed at the future of the country, and it is important that children receive quality education and develop their intellectual and creative abilities.
A 24-storey five-star hotel is planned to be built within the complex in the near future. It will include 250 rooms and will be able to accommodate 430 guests at a time. It will also have modern conference halls, swimming pools, restaurants and stores.
The Head of State was presented the project of construction of new residential buildings to be erected in the area. In the framework of the project it is planned to build 28 multi-storey houses for 1.5 thousand apartments. The courtyard of the complex will be completely pedestrian and green zone, without cars. A kindergarten, playgrounds, a tennis court and underground parking are also provided. The entire territory will be covered with Wi-Fi, and silent elevators will be installed in the buildings.
Projects for the development of public transportation, including the expansion of the metro network, have also been considered.
As it is known, earlier it was planned to extend the Tashkent subway to the Tashkent Tractor Plant. The Head of State instructed to reconsider the previously submitted projects and propose alternatives.
According to the new project prepared, it is planned to extend the Chilanzar line to the Tashkent Tractor Plant. This route will cover 30 mahallas and provide convenient transportation for 148 thousand residents.
In addition, the new project in Bektemir district envisages construction of multi-storey residential buildings, retail and service facilities near the Chirchik River. This will accelerate urbanization of the district and create a new urban center.
