On March 18, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The heads of state sincerely congratulated each other with the coming spring holiday Navruz, wished the brotherly people of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan peace, wellbeing and prosperity.
The current issues of further development and strengthening of Uzbek-Kazakh relations of strategic partnership and alliance were discussed in detail.
The importance of implementing coordinated measures to increase trade, promote projects in industrial cooperation, transport, energy, agriculture and other areas of practical cooperation, including at the regional level, was noted.
A high assessment was given to the joint cultural and humanitarian events taking place these days in the cities of Kazakhstan.
The leaders also reviewed the schedule of upcoming bilateral and multilateral events at the highest and high levels, including preparations for summits in the "Central Asia Plus" format.
