The ceremony of awarding President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with the Order of the Legion of Honor, the highest award of the French Republic, has been held as part of the program of his stay in Paris.
President of France Emmanuel Macron solemnly presented the high award to the Head of our state.
The President of Uzbekistan has been honored with the order for his significant contribution to the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and France, strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between the people of the two countries.
Expressing sincere gratitude to the President of France for the award, the leader of our country noted with satisfaction the high results of fruitful cooperation achieved in recent years, evidenced by bringing the relations between the two countries to the level of strategic partnership.
The Order of the Legion of Honor was established in 1802. Assignment of the Order is the highest sign of distinction, honor and official recognition of special merits in France.
