As part of the program of his official visit, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Islamic Arts Museum of Malaysia.
It should be noted that the Islamic Arts Museum is one of the largest museum collections in the country. It was founded in 1998.
The museum is built in the traditional style of Islamic architecture. The total area of the complex is more than 30 thousand square meters.
Uzbek masters participated in the interior decoration of the building's dome and restoration works.
More than 10,000 exhibits of Islamic art are kept here. The permanent exposition includes a unique collection of Quran manuscripts, ceramic and precious items, samples of weapons and models of buildings, jewelry, numismatics and others.
About 200 unique artifacts created in different historical periods on the territory of modern Uzbekistan occupy a special place in the museum fund. Among them are medieval manuscripts, jewelry, famous abra cloths and samples of clothes of the population, ceramics of the Eastern Renaissance period.
During the inspection of the exhibits, the Head of our state noted the importance of joint research and organization of exhibition events, expansion of scientific and cultural exchange.
