On February 3, a meeting on strengthening the country's defense capability was held under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The report of the Minister of Defense was heard on the progress of the implementation of the assigned tasks and measures to increase the combat readiness and capability of the troops, comprehensive training of units and subdivisions, equipping them with modern weapons and military equipment, as well as improving the activities of the Defense Industry Agency of Uzbekistan.

The country's leadership noted the importance of continuing work on comprehensively strengthening the combat potential of the army and the moral and psychological state of personnel, modernizing weapons and military equipment, as well as developing defense industry enterprises.

The need to increase the intensity of combat and operational training activities, improve the system of professional training of officer cadres and engineering and technical personnel of military enterprises was noted.

At the end of the meeting, the Head of State gave instructions on the further development of the Armed Forces and strengthening the country's defense capability.
