A logistics hub put into operation at the pharmaceutical cluster

18.12.2024

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of the “Grand Pharm Logistics Hub” located in Zangiata district of Tashkent region.

The hub is located on the territory of the innovation cluster “Tashkent Pharma Park” and occupies an area of 10 hectares. Under the $40 million project, a three-story administrative building, warehouses, a hotel, a canteen and a dormitory were built. More than 300 jobs have been created.

The area of storage facilities is 50 thousand square meters. The center is capable of receiving, storing and distributing large batches of pharmaceutical products in accordance with international standards. All processes are fully digitalized.

The Head of State reviewed the work of the hub.

The logistics center will also become an important support for other manufacturers included in the “Tashkent Pharma Park” cluster. It provides storage and export services through the international SAP system. It has GDP and GSP certificates, licenses for customs warehouses and international transportation.

To ensure high quality standards, air cooling systems have been installed to provide a stable temperature even during cargo loading. The center also provides transportation services with more than 20 trucks, for which parking and maintenance facilities are organized.

To date, logistics links have been established with Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Germany, Poland, France, Hungary, Romania and Türkiye. The geography of cooperation continues to expand.

Responsible persons are tasked with facilitating simplified storage and clearance processes, reducing production costs and increasing the availability of medicines.

The company regularly analyzes the pharmaceutical market and the needs of the medical sector, which contributes to the expansion of supply directions. At the moment, it provides products to more than 7.5 thousand pharmacies across the country. In addition, an online pharmacy service has been introduced and the number of partners in this area continues to grow.

Within the framework of the “GPH Academy” project, cooperation has been established with a number of higher education institutions. Practicum classes have been set up in three universities. Three thousand pharmacists have completed professional development courses, and about thirty students have received scholarships and grants under the project.
