On November 22 President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with advisor on economic development, effective governance and international cooperation Suma Chakrabarti.
Progress on implementing Strategy "Uzbekistan - 2030" in the framework of the current year's State program, as well as prospects of advancing reforms next year were reviewed.
Special attention was paid to issues of preparing and improving qualifications of public goverance personnel.
Further steps of Uzbekistan's WTO accession were also discussed at the meeting. The need for accelerated harmonization of the national legislation with the rules and requirements of the WTO was emphasized, as well as continuing work to improve the country's position in global rankings.
The President noted the importance of timely implementation of all planned projects, supplementing the strategic agenda with new initiatives, especially in view of the objectives of the Year of Environmental Protection and Green Economy announced in our country.
