For example, Chinese investors have launched a project on growing pepper by drip irrigation and its processing on 600 hectares in Altynkul and Jalakuduk districts. Calculations show that this will enable to export products worth 15 thousand dollars per hectare.
In Pakhtaabad district, cherry and berry cultivation has been organized on 470 hectares in cooperation with a company from the United Arab Emirates. The entrepreneur appealed to the state to provide infrastructure in connection with the timely fulfillment of investment obligations.
The possibility of restoring the activity of 4 poultry enterprises in the region and employment of 650 people from low-income families was identified.
The enterprise “ADM electrics” in Asaka produces 28 types of wires and multimedia systems for cars. Expansion of localization of production of such models as “Onyx”, “Tracker”, “Kia Sonet” will increase the capacity and income of the enterprise.
During the meeting, the khokim of Andijan province presented a draft decree on utilization of these and similar opportunities. It envisages target indicators of socio-economic development of Andijan region for 2025. In particular, the tasks on development of investments in the amount of $3.1 billion, implementation of 334 investment projects, provision of employment for 305 thousand people and realization of export worth $1 billion are defined.
Also in the region, in view of the population density, opportunities will be created with respect to the land issue. A total of 1 thousand 800 hectares of land will be re-categorized, including areas not used in agriculture, including hilly plots. Production and service complexes and residential buildings will be built on these lands.
Approving the proposals, the Head of State gave additional instructions on how to effectively utilize the new opportunities, provide the projects with modern infrastructure, increase employment and incomes of the population.
