On the margins of the UN Climate Change Conference COP29 in Baku, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
Questions of strengthening bilateral cooperation and practical interaction, primarily in political and trade-economic spheres were addressed.
The importance of elaborating measures to increase trade turnover and forming a portfolio of cooperation projects in the field of pharmaceuticals, electrical engineering, agriculture and other sectors was emphasized.
Special attention was paid to the development of cultural, humanitarian and tourist exchanges.
An agreement was reached to hold the next round of political consultations in Athens and a session of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation in Tashkent next year.
The sides also exchanged views on topical issues on the international and regional agenda.
